SL7 Overbridges
Description
High Speed 2 (HS2) Main Civil Works Contract N1& N2 (North) Sub Lot 7 FRC Package 4.1 Subcontract Works include the supply of all necessary Supervision, Labour, Plant, Materials and Equipment to complete the following 3 overbridge structures:
- Church Lane Overbridge
- A453 Sutton Road Overbridge
- Bangley Lane Accommodation Overbridge
These are multi-span integral or semi-integral bridges consisting of precast prestressed concrete beams and cast insitu reinforced concrete deck slabs supported on abutments at either end and intermediate piers founded on piled foundations. Reinforced concrete wingwalls connect to the abutment back walls at either end of each bridge. Precast high containment parapet units, connected to the superstructure via in-situ reinforced concrete stitches, are provided along the length of the bridge decks to both sides.
